1. How do I get there?

From Madison WI, take I-90/94/39 to I-39 north to HWY 8, east to Rhinelander, to HWY 17 north, to Hwy 70. West (left) on Hwy 70, approximately 2 mi. to Cloverland Dr. Left on Cloverland Dr. to River Road. Follow River Rd. to 5994 River Rd. (1 mi.) Watch for signs on tree “Choza Feliz” and “Cowee-Wichmann.”

2. What about kids and pets?

Kids are always welcome, we discourage pets.

3. What about phones?

We have a phone for local use. Please use your cell phone for long distance.

4. Where do I get groceries?

Eagle River has 2 large grocery stores, Trig’s on Wall Street, and Bonson’s on HWY 45/17 north. Both stores also have video and dvd rentals.

5. What should I bring?

Your own fishing equipment, boats, bikes, food. Appropriate clothing for cool summer evenings.

6. Other suggestions.

There are many fishing guides in the Eagle River area. I like Jimmy Stanzil from Three Lakes. There are many biking and hiking trails. There is a wonderful, helpful Chamber of Commerce with any information you might need.

There are numerous good restaurants. Breakfast-try the Country Flaire (6 mi. west on HWY 70, at HWY O), Fish fry-try the Honey Bear-on HWY 70 east, toward Eagle River. Another fish fry place is The Bucktail Inn just past the Honey Bear towards Eagle River, on HWY H, 1/4 mi. off HWY 70. (THE BUCKTAIL HAS THE BEST RIBS WE’VE EVER HAD!!)
